Balephi Hydropower Limited (BHL) is a leading hydropower development company in Nepal, committed to harnessing the nation’s vast renewable energy potential to support long-term sustainable growth. Originally incorporated as Huaning Development Pvt. Ltd. on 2068/11/30 B.S. (March 13, 2012), the company was established to develop the 36 MW Upper Balephi “A” Hydroelectric Project in Sindhupalchowk District—a project that reflects BHL’s core focus on clean energy infrastructure.

As part of its strategic growth, BHL transitioned to a public limited company on 2073/09/18 B.S. (January 2, 2017) vide Company Registration No. 161420/073/074, opening up ownership to the general public. This transformation marked a key milestone in BHL’s journey, reinforcing its commitment to transparency, good governance, and broad-based investment participation.

To further strengthen its capital base and expand investor access, BHL was officially listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on 2079/02/10 B.S. (May 24, 2022). The company trades under the ticker symbol BHL, with its securities identified by ISIN: NPE399A00003. This public listing integrated BHL into Nepal’s formal capital market, inviting participation from both local and institutional investors in its growth trajectory.
